Sketch Lab Privacy Policy

StorySketch is operated by Ida Silfverskiöld and Amir Otaifa, Stockholm, Sweden (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what data StorySketch collects, why, and what happens to it. Contact: ilsilfverskiold@gmail.com and amir.otaifa@gmail.com

What we collect

Account data. You sign in with Apple. Through that we receive your email address (or Apple’s private relay address if you choose to hide it), a unique Apple user identifier, and your name if you choose to share it. We collect nothing else about you — no phone number, no location, no contacts, no advertising identifiers.

Content you create. Sketches you draw, images you add, the prompts used for generation, and the images and videos generated for you. This content is stored so you can return to your creations.

Payment data. None. Subscriptions are purchased through Apple, and Apple processes all payment information. We never see your payment details.

Diagnostics. Crash reports via Apple’s built-in crash reporting, only if you have opted in to sharing analytics with app developers in your iOS settings. We use no third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.

How we use your data

  • To provide the service: generating images and videos from your sketches and storing your creations under your account.
  • To operate your subscription and its monthly allowances.
  • To keep the service safe: generated content passes automated moderation to keep results appropriate.

We do not sell your data, show ads, or use your data for advertising. We do not use your content to train AI models, and we do not permit our providers to do so.

AI generation and third parties

To generate images and videos, we send your prompt and the associated image to third-party AI image and video generation providers. These providers receive only the prompt and image — never your name, email, identifier, or anything that links the content to you. They process the request, return the result, and cannot trace the content to a person.

Some of these providers are located in the United States. Where content is processed outside the EU/EEA, transfers are protected by the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, as applicable to each provider.

Where your data is stored

All account data and content is stored on Amazon Web Services in the EU (Stockholm region, eu-north-1). Every request is authenticated against your account: your content is accessible only through your own sign-in, never through another user’s subscription.

How long we keep it

  • Content you delete is gone immediately. Deleting an asset permanently deletes it— sketches, images, prompts, and generated media. We keep no copies and there is no recovery period.
  • Unused data expires automatically. Content in flows you have not used is deleted after 90 days.
  • Account deletion. You can delete your account in the app under Settings. This permanently removes your account data and all stored content.

Legal bases (GDPR)

We process your data to perform our contract with you (Art. 6(1)(b) — providing the app and your subscription) and on the basis of legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) — content moderation, service security, and crash diagnostics).

Your rights

Under the GDPR you can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your data, object to processing, and request data portability. Most of this you can do directly in the app — your content is visible in your flows and deletable there, and account deletion is in Settings. For anything else, email ilsilfverskiold@gmail.com

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Ours is the Swedish Authority for Privacy Protection (Integritetsskyddsmyndigheten, imy.se).

Children

StorySketch accounts are created and held by adults. Children use the app under the account holder’s supervision and subscription. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children directly: the account identity belongs to the account holder, generation requests carry no personal identity, and all generated content passes moderation designed to keep results appropriate for young users.

Changes

If this policy changes materially, we will note it in the app and update the date above. Continued use after changes means acceptance of the updated policy.
